On April 30th, the coordinator of the Nigerian Tax Research Network (NTRN), Michael Falade, visited the University of Lagos to engage with faculty, students, and members of the UNILAG Tax Club. The purpose of the visit was to present the NTRN to the students and researchers, and to inform them of how they can join the network, access its resources, and participate in policy-relevant research on taxation in Nigeria.

Michael shared several resources with the attendees, including the NTRN online library, the new NESG dataset on tax and subsidy perceptions in Nigeria, gave out copies of ICTD publications on taxation in Nigeria, and sold copies of the book Taxing Africa. He also informed participants of how to participate and present papers at the annual NTRN conference, which will be held on the 25-26th of September 2019 in Abuja.

The NTRN would like to thank ICTD and NTRN Advisor Professor Abiola Sanni and the members of the Tax Academician Association of Nigeria (TaxAAN) for the warm reception, and looks forward to future engagements.
