Camille Barras is the Policy Lead for the Local Government Revenue Initiative (LoGRI). Her role focuses on generating, disseminating and translating into impact policy-relevant research on the effectiveness of property tax systems. Her main areas of work and interest encompass domestic resource mobilisation, intergovernmental relations, decentralisation, public administration and state-society relations. Prior to joining LoGRI, Camille worked for several years at the intersection of practice and research, supporting projects related to subnational governance and/or impact evaluation in Africa, Asia and Europe for UNDP, the Center for Evaluation and Development and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, among others. She completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge.
