Oxfam and the Tax Justice Network are looking for a 3,500 word essay outlining how you would use human rights law to challenge tax injustice.

 

 

Entries will be judged by a panel of eminent lawyers chaired by Magdalena Sepúlveda Carmona, a Senior Research Fellow at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), who from 2008 to 2014 was the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights.

 

The winner will have their travel costs to London covered (subject to a visa being obtained) to present their essay at the Tax Justice Network’s ‘Tax Havens and Corruption’ research workshop 28-29 April, along with having their entry posted on the Tax Justice Network and Oxfam websites and receiving signed copies of recent tax justice books..

The winners of the competition will be flown to London (subject to visa being obtained) to present their essay at the Tax Justice Network’s annual conference in April. Entries will be accepted in English, French or Spanish.
