Dr Jean Tesche is an economist specialised in tobacco tax modelling and policy. She has taught economics in the US, Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and worked with the US Treasury’s Office of Technical Assistance, the World Bank and the World Health Organization. She was recently a visiting researcher at the University of Cape Town, with the Research Unit on the Economics of Excisable Products.
