Asif M. Shahan, PhD, is a Senior Research Fellow at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.
He is currently a Professor at the Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka. His key areas of research are: the politics-administration relationship, the emergence, evolution, and performance of democratic political institutions, especially the institutions of accountability, performance-based accountability, and the politics of policy process.
Dr Shahan has a PhD in Political Science and a Master’s of Public Administration from George Mason University, USA.
