The ICTD is seeking to recruit a Programme Manager who will play a critical role in providing overall coordination and supervision of all ICTD activities, with a particular emphasis on:

  • management and coordination of the ICTD project management and administrative team
  • overall monitoring and planning in relation to the budget
  • oversight of the overall research and communications programme, including oversight of all reporting to donors.

More simply, the Programme Manager will act as the central node in the overall coordination and oversight of ICTD staff, budgets and programme, working in close partnership with the CEO. Applicants will be expected to strategically oversee and guide all the necessary management functions of this large and complex and adapting programme and will therefore have excellent interpersonal and management skills, and strong budget and financial and project management skills and experience.

The post is based at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), a leading global institution for development research, teaching and learning, and impact and communications located on the University of Sussex campus in Brighton, UK.

Salary: £36,159 to £47,794 per annum (Initial appointment will be in the above range depending on experience)
