Co-hosted by Tanzania Revenue Authority, the International Growth Centre (IGC), and REPOA, the inaugural International Conference on Tax for Growth aims to “bring together world-leading researchers and policymakers to discuss questions relating to enhancing domestic resource mobilisation and strengthening tax systems in sub-Saharan Africa”.

IDS and ICTD Research Fellow, Fabrizio Santoro will be presenting research findings on Technology Evolution and Tax Compliance: Evidence from Rwanda, with ICTD long-standing partner, Denis Mukuma, Assistant Commissioner, Planning and Research, Rwanda Revenue Authority, as a Discussant.

Fabrizio Santoro

Fabrizio is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies, and the Research Lead for the second component of the ICTD's DIGITAX Research Programme. His main research interests relate to governance, public finance, and taxation, with a strong focus on impact evaluation methodologies and statistical analysis. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex.

Denis Mukama

Denis Mukama is the Assistant Commissioner Research, Planning, Statistics and M&E officer at Rwandan Revenue Authority.
